I'm an artist, trying to develop into a good writer. I'm silly, very passionate about economic literacy and Batman.
In the end, Michael Shannon’s Zod aside, the real reason I enjoyed this film is because it tapped into a part of my heart devoted to Dragon Ball Z.
I think in the end Zack Snyder knew that what he was really giving American audiences wasn’t a Superman story, but a retelling of one of Japan’s most epic satirical anime that we actually took very seriously (at least 9 year old boys and girls who tuned into Toonami in the 90’s).
P.S. Anytime Jor-El showed up I could hear South Park’s “Fightin’ around the World” and “Tuggah!” the entire time.
